Lori Looney Joins Digital Scholarship Team as Research, Data, and Collection Support Librarian

As part of her new role as Research, Data, and Collection Support Librarian, Lori Looney will lend expertise to the digital scholarship team in the area of data management and data visualization. Lori offers instruction and support with data clean-up tools (e.g. Open Refine) and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Rawgraphs, Google Data Studio, and TimelineJS). She is also interested in expanding her skills in research data management (RDM) and R programming language. Check out her Libguide on open data sets and visualization.

In 2020, Lori earned a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University, including coursework in digital humanities, digital copyright, digital libraries, information visualization, and big data analytics & management.
