DS Fellow Catherine Benoît Presents the St. Martin Project in Trinidad & Tobago

2018 Digital Scholarship Fellow and Professor of Anthropology, Catherine Benoît presented her digital scholarship project on St. Martin at the Caribbean Digital V Conference held at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad & Tobago.

Benoît spoke in the session “DH Activism” about her engagement through digital scholarship with communities in New London, St. Martin, and beyond to share the stories of Saint-Martinois people living on the island and in the United States. The St. Martin Project aims to decenter and decolonize the study of the Caribbean by enabling individuals to share their own stories.
