The Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) is located on the lower level of Shain Library (room A26) and is open during library hours. The lab provides audio, video, and graphics hardware and software for students to use for course-related and personal academic projects.
The workstations in the ATL are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Students can reserve a workstation for a specific date/time for up to four hours, no more than one week in advance. Faculty can reserve the ATL for an instructional technology session for one of their courses with at least one week’s notice. Contact Michael Dreimiller to make a reservation.
There are six workstations each consisting of a 27″ iMac with Retina 5K display and a second Apple Thunderbolt display and one instructor’s workstation iMac with Retina 5K without a second display. Three of the dual-display workstations have a combination VHS/MiniDV deck and a DVD player that can be used for digitizing content. The workstations are set up to print to the Xerox PaperCut printers on campus, and each has the following software installed:
